Case Notes
This patient in her 60s came to Moraitis Plastic Surgery after having silicone breast implants placed approximately 35 years earlier. Her original 450cc implants had become firm and distorted in shape due to capsular contracture, which caused discomfort and visible asymmetry. She no longer wished to maintain the added volume and preferred a more natural appearance. Dr. Isidoros Moraitis performed bilateral implant removal (explantation) with careful capsulectomy to release the contracted scar tissue and restore soft contour to the breasts. The procedure improved comfort and appearance while aligning with her current goals. Photos shown are 3 months postoperative.
